sometimes mine says that "phone is not connected" , this is usually when it is in my pocket, and it is probably being blocked by keys , chewing gum wrapper or something in my jacket. usually it is fine if i then connect it up to the ipod lead, then it works fine!

cheers

If it has been working then it's more likely to be a phone problem. 2005 Zambezi TDV6 - Gone but not forgotten

I have an issue with my bluetooth not automatically pairing with my Iphone each time I enter the car.

It does work but I have to manually pair it each time I get in the car, which is OK for it to work but does become a bit of a pain.

Anyone have any ideas on how I can set it to automatically pair?

Thanks

James

Hi James

I had the same problem when I first got my car. Needed to get the latest Bluetooth module and software (mine is a 2005 car). I managed to get the dealer to replace it when I first had the car luckily as the Bluetooth worked as you described, they agreed to foot the bill.

Wiggs from the disco 3 site can update your bluetooth software to the latest version which should sort all your problems.

James.

All i did was go into the options for the bluetooth connection and search, then the BB gives you a window if youd like to auto pair and a little tick box fro always trust this connection. I just ticked the box.

Sorry I am not that technically minded. ! Smile

Once paired you will have a connection called Land Rover in bluetooth menu however I have found with iphone that if you disable bluetooth when away from the car for exmple to save power and then restart the bluetooth you have to re connect in iphone bluetooth settings by selecting connection "Land Rover" If i do not disable BT and get in and out of the car it auto connects - hope this makes sense, writing whilst catching up on T Emmerdale Cool

Thanks for the comments guys....

When I am away from the car and the car is locked, my bluetooth connection on the phone doesnt show Land Rover in the list on my iphone. Its only when I enter the car that it finds it and I have to connect it each time.

There are no other options on the iphone to auto connect the bluetooth, it is very basic!

Not sure where to go from here, as if I take it to the dealer they will charge for the update, right?

Also how can I be sure it needs the update, when it could just be something I am not doing right?

Thanks

James
