Poor radio reception

Hi Guy's
I have a 2006 r/r sport prob made late 2005, I am having trouble with the radio reception. I had a 2006 disco made May 2006, I could get many radio stations with it but the r/r is poor in my area, it's ok if heading to Glasgow etc. I know the aerial is in the n/s rear window, is there anyway I can boost this aerail to give me a better signal??? Bow down Big Cry any help would be appreciated.

Ps, Radio: 1 is good
West sound radio is good
Radio: 2 is good
Radio Clyde is weak
Smooth Radio is weak
Real radio is weak.

I have an XK8 with an electric rear wing aerial and have no bother getting any of the stations.

Thanks
Wullie Rolling Eyes

Could be one of the diversity aerials has gone faulty... if your XK is working fine but your RRS not, it wouldn't appear to be simply signal interference. Are you sure on the mfr date? If it's still in warranty (which it might not be) then obviously a dealer trip is in order.... otherwise you could be into a trip to your local car audio specialist? Confused

Hi Shmoogle
Reg date 1/3/2006 o6 reg, no LR warranty left, the guy I bought it from did not re-new the warranty. so on my own Im afraid. When I bought the r/r near the end of March I noticed one of the poppers/wire attached to the aerial was off so I popped it back on but made no differance, Maybe I should fit a roof aerial?? or a side one, dont want it to look silly though. what do you Guy's think?? Rolling Eyes

Just been out to have a look at this window aerial, (STOPPED RAINING) I see it's made up in 3 sections with 3 popper type buttons stuck to the glass, I only have 2 wires coming from below the roof lining that pops on, so 1 has no wire. So just before I start to remove the roof lining could one of you nice fellows Bow down check their poppers to see if there should be 3 poppers/with wires, maybe some TWIT has been in at something in that area, the other one maybe sitting above the roof lining. Bow down Bow down

Cheers
Wullie Confused
