Isn't the bonnet aluminium If so not much benefit to touching it up. Problem with touching up is that it never blends in, but it is essential if the area could rust.

I always leave these sorts of repairs until I'm due to get rid of the car, but then I'm not the model owner when it comes to taking care of my cars
