Stonechips

I have acquired 2 stonechips on the leading edge of the bonnet - they are through to the primer and about 1mm square.
Is using a touch-up paint kit of any value to repair them or just leave them and get somebody like chipsaway in to fix them before (when/if!) I sell the car. 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it

Isn't the bonnet aluminium Question If so not much benefit to touching it up. Problem with touching up is that it never blends in, but it is essential if the area could rust.

You could get it resprayed and then Venture Shield the front and stop it happening again. Idea Thumbs Up TDV6 - gone

United Kingdom 2007 Range Rover Sport TDV8 HSE Buckingham Blue

Hi,

Just been through exactly the same experience myself - after much consideration I had the bonnet resprayed as touch-up pencils weren't going to sort it tidily enough. Smart repairs weren't on either as there is no panel seam to hide the repair so re-spray was the only option. It wasn't all that expensive though and the finish now it's been done is spot on.

one word of warning though - make sure whoever you use has got the "range rover" lettering before they start as I had quite a delay getting mine from land rover as they had run out of stock of that part (really! I checked several places and they all had the same problem). I think stock of the lettering is generally available now but worth checking. Range Rover Sport TDV8 HSE, Buckingham Blue with Ebony Black

I always leave these sorts of repairs until I'm due to get rid of the car, but then I'm not the model owner when it comes to taking care of my cars Embarassed
