Seconded Thumbs Up

Cracking day - Mrs Do$h is still buzzing Mr. Green

Can I propose that all of us who took part today make a small donation to the site and perhaps also make a donation to Help For Heroes, the charity that helps our wounded serviceman once the boys in the Chinooks have done their bit and got them clear of the danger zone?

Great to meet you all, and in a few cases meet you again Bow down

Wales 2006 Range Rover Sport 4.4 V8 HSE Java Black

I second everything that's been said.
Thanks to Sean & Dave for taking time out to show us around the base & Chinooks.
Thanks to James for doing his bit from CHPR. I don't know where I lost you or how I got to Odiham before you, cos at one stage we were heading back to central London, in our own small convoy. Two RRSs peeled off one way, one peeled off another and I guess I followed the wrong 2! Fun tho!
We got attached to another black RRS who Nick was following along the A30 for a while. Good job he didn't keep following her or we would have ended up in her drive - she wasn't with us!
"Great" to be chased in the Aston by a police RRS, complete with flashing blue lights and sirens - I kid you not!!!! Fortunately, I think he was chasing real criminals! I'm praying that half a dozen speeding tickets don't arrive over the next couple of days.
Chris & I had a great day out.
Hats off to all men & women of the armed services who do a fantastic job to keep us safe.
Donations forthcoming! Bow down Bow down

Thanks to Wokkaman from the CHPR boys! It was a fantastic day, and a real insight into what our troops go through. It was well organised and I can't imagine how difficult it would have been convincing the Commander that it would be a good idea letting us loose on the base! Thumbs Up

It was good to catch up with the regulars and also to meet a few new faces too. Thumbs Up

Hmmmmm... the convoy! Well the reason that those of you who got lost (or broke away in NickM's case) got there before is, that the convoy was designed to take the slower more scenic route. We've never had a convoy where everyone has ended up arriving at the same place at the same time, but that's all part of the fun.

Ace Cafe Meet - NickM manages to hold himself back, but can't resist pulling-off Embarassed the junction before The Ace.
Gaydon Meet - NickM overshoots Embarassed and heads for Birmingham.
Chinook Meet - NickM is chased from behind Embarassed by Ant in his Aston and given a tour of Virginia Waters!

I jest Nick!

I'll try and post a few photo's later today. Thanks again to Shaun AKA Wokkaman and to those of you who came along.... a great day! Thumbs Up

James Wink
