Hi all

I am about to do my first oil change on my RRSport tdv6 HSE. 80156 miles

I spoke to an old racedriver/carseller/RRSportOwner guy, and it seems like he really knows what he´s doing, but just to be on the safe side, I thought I would run he´s recommendations through u guys.

1. Fill MidLand Oil cleaner in the engine, thorugh the oil refill.

2. Drive 20-30 km.

3. Open oil refill cover, and loosen Oil filter.

4. Let all the oil out.

5. Mount new oil filter

6. Refill using "MidLand Synova 5w/40" - (I think it was 9 liters in all)

Any alarms going off with u guys?

Oil spec in the UK is 5w/30 - you may want to check what LR recommend for your local temperatures.

5.0 - 5.5litres is what you need for a complete oil change on the 2.7 TDV6. 9 litres would have it coming out of your exhaust in a steady stream. Be aware that the dipstick is useless for measuring the oil level so watch you don't overfill. Worth measuring what you have taken out and pouring the same amount of fresh oil in, running the engine for a few minutes then letting it settle for 5 before checking the dipstick, topping up as required. Very easy to pour 5l in and find only 4.8 came out..... Two lives - lived one

This season, oi be mostly toasting my left leg in the 90 while the missus drives the D3

First oil change at 80156 miles. I know Land Rover Dealers are expensive, but come on!

LOL - I just bought it, so it´s MY first time to change the oil myself, not the first oil change ever for the car  RRSport 2005 TDV6 2.7 HSE - Named "The Majesty" - Bought 1/7-2009.
