iPhone Applications - Speed camera programmes

Has anybody tried any of them? I had a look at some of the reviews and none seems to get more than average and a lot of flack for many cameras missing. Seems to me they all depend on subscriber info input. Would it be worth 59p to subcribe even if the apps are crap? 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it

I think Wiggs on the D3 site has used a few. I presume the Tom Tom App will be useable, but I bet it aint 59p Laughing Porsche Cayenne S Diesel 66 Plate

I use Cams Ahoy.
- Pretty good. It now nows which direction you are travelling in so less false alerts.

Seems accurate. Had all the cameras i've ever driven past.

Yeah me too, works OK. Have a device in the RRS but I use Cams Ahoy when I'm in my wifes car. Make sure you have a charger with you, it kills the battery, and using your ipod whilst running the app is tricky.

Trapster is worth a look, but is rather reliant on people to update than some "bought" database. I have yet to be convinced there is anything that compares to the proper speed alert systems. L322 Big Daddy SUPERCHARGED 5.0 Autobiography - Here & Now!

At a price, yes. I think £100 has been mooted Shocked Shocked

Talking of iPhones and with a little mathematical wisdom.

If you go for a 32GB 3GS on O2's top tarriff and then purchase an average of 30 apps over a 24 month period (avg 0.59) whilst at the same time adding what will be the penultimate app (Tom, Tom), call it £100, it will cost you a whopping £1920.00 Shocked Shocked Shocked

Even if you go for the middle tarriff, it works out to be £1300 Shocked Shocked

That's one nice SatNav system, one nice Nokia phone and plenty of change..........the downside, it's not an iPhone and you will look a dweeb Whistle Whistle

iPhone wins every single time Big Cry Big Cry Big Cry L322 Big Daddy SUPERCHARGED 5.0 Autobiography - Here & Now!
