The RRS was in for visit 5 last week to look at the knocking and early indications were that it was better/fixed after the latest TB was done...or so they told us is was fully followed.

Well, it's in for visit 6 today! Still got the problem and now we keep getting the amber suspension warning light come on and off Sad . Java Black, 20" rims, privacy glass, side steps, chrome mirrors, body coloured grill/vent surrounds/door handles, Brembo, towbar, fridge

Update:
Cars been in to CHPR and was advised when investigating knocking noise they found front cross member to be incorrectly fitted with the NUT ie it was crossthreaded. Cant be claimed under warranty so i paid for it and have taken the matter up with LR to investigate the previous dealer who carried out work for the above matter. The car sadly has developed knocking noise Banging Head again. The car has been booked in back with CHPR in a fortnights time and i am sure that this time the knock will be eliminated. Il update as i get it back if this is the case. As for the previous dealer they can feel the full force of my legal team. Armed with the damaged CROSSMEMBER (not crossbow) and all previous reciepts of work carried out by them they shall have a visit paid to them by the MEN IN BLACK.

CHPR Thumbs Up thanks for all your help so far and i hope that when i come back the knock will be eliminated once and for all Neutral

The service guy went on a test drive and doesn't believe my knocking problem is the 'famous' one...How many do you need!! So they are changing the Air Suspension unit, struts and springs...which seems a result as I've been convinced since day 1 there is a damping issue. Java Black, 20" rims, privacy glass, side steps, chrome mirrors, body coloured grill/vent surrounds/door handles, Brembo, towbar, fridge

RRS-Mark - he could be right from what I have gathered there are a few different knocking noises and the fix for each is different. 2005 Zambezi TDV6 - Gone but not forgotten

Just as an update guys. I have been away on holiday for the last 2 weeks and have covered about 1800 miles in the RRS without any sign of the knocking returning. Looks like it's fixed -- on my car at least Mr. Green Thumbs Up 2013 Discovery HSE Luxury - 3.0 SDV6 - Santorini Black

Mine went in to Guava Guildford last week, with the infamous knocking noise. Its a 56 plate TDV6, which has the Dynamic Pack fitted.

Apparently LR were quite interested in resolving the knock on this car, as nothing had been tried before on the car (I'd been lazy and put up with it Embarassed Laughing )

So, under LR's instruction they replaced the lower suspension arms including ball joints to the new designed units, and replaced the active anti roll bar units. This has stopped the noise completely - it drives beautifully now, so I just hope it lasts - fingers crossed !

Guava are waiting to see what happens to yours over the next few weeks Tonser before my RRS gets the same treatment. 2005 Zambezi TDV6 - Gone but not forgotten

guys - my car was with CHPR last week. As promised an update.
It seems they've fixed it!
From the report i have in my hand, the anti-roll bar links failed thier test. Front anti-roll bar bushes excessively worn and replaced.
Drives perfectly now, so fingers crossed this has solved the problem and the bushes won't fail again after my warranty ends!
Big thanks to Paul King and Richard at CHPR and for the updates throughout the week.

Update on my RRS knocking. Got the car back on Friday and rather disappointingly we were told that LR wouldn't support the change of the air suspension unit on this visit but did change what I think he said was the anti roll bar links/ball joints and bushes, not the redesigned lower ones which were done last year.

I said we'd give the car a try but shared how annoyed I was that LR said on this 'first visit' down this investigation avenue they didn't want to change the air suspension unit, afterall this was the 6th visit and it seems that it is the dealership that had mis-diagnosed in the past.

Also, I'm not an expert on what failures create the dash lights to come on but couldn't get it straight in my mind why the amber suspension light kept coming on and it was resolved by the changing of links.

Having said all that it has been 100% better, so much so that I can hear the rattles at the back of the car now Laughing Java Black, 20" rims, privacy glass, side steps, chrome mirrors, body coloured grill/vent surrounds/door handles, Brembo, towbar, fridge
