Anyone had dealing with this place.....

Hi folks,

I've been looking at possibly purchasing a vehicle from this establishment. Has anyone had any dealings with them? Good or bad?

As I'm in Scotland, I need to make sure the vehicle is perfect otherwise a lemon in this case could be a serious nightmare.

Many thanks

Tiko

Never heard of them. Just looked at the website and they certainly have some nice RRS but looks a bit pricey to me.

I am sure someone in here will come up and give you a report on that company. But if you are looking for a RRS, you should give KAM100 or Charles Hurst a bell - they are forum sponsor in here and they are highly recommend.

Good luck with your search. Thumbs Up

i have never heard of them, but looking at their website all the pictures seem to have been taken in the same place, and to me it looks like it is on somebodies drive way. Not a sales room location

They also don't have any address of any premises on there website just a email contact and a couple of telephone numbers

So my view is that they are selling them from there own home and you won't get the same deal as you would from the high street dealers in the event that something goes wrong, and no address for any comeback

Thats my two pence worth Thumbs Up

Agree with you... It does not seem to be very trustworthy... Whistle

Had a look at their site...thanks for the link Coko

Unfortunately, I couldn't find anything within my price range unless I was looking in the wrong section.

My search seems fruitless so far....I just don't want to end up buying the X5 as second option. Currently

Their telephone numer on their website is a mobile phone number.

Not the kind of place I would consider spending many thousands of pounds with.

You pay for what you get. Personally, I'd drive a hard bargain with a franchised dealer. I've been mad for flipping years, absolutely years, over the edge for yonks.

Tiko what are you looking for exactly? It would be worth speaking to forum sponsors CHPR and Kam100, I'm sure they'll find something for you

or contact forum member SexyPauly.....he's SO RICH he will probably just give you his RRS as they are pieces of Censored anyway apparently Rolling Eyes

Mercuryl....you're probably spot on by buying through a franchised dealer. As I'm buying used is there a possibility that when presenting to my local $tealer will they refuse to warranty/service the vehicle due to it being slightly modified?

Tiko, so you basically want a TDV6 in black with factory tints. Then you buy the Supersports and get it colour coded.

Speak to Kam100, he will find you one Thumbs Up

There may be a black one for sale on here? anyone?

JF is right Tiko.... don't waste your time trying to find one that already has the Supersports on it. Speak to Kam, CHPR or Perrys - all of which are Forum Sponsors. You'll find it much easier that way Thumbs Up

Tiko who are your nearest servicing dealer for LR's - are you north or south of the Clyde? There are also excellent non Franchise LR service outlets in Central Scotland - Barttec and GEMM4x4 come to mind and they will do everything except warranty work and have all the latest tech stuff. GEMM recently had a 2005MY Supercharged in for servicing so the cars are now trickling into the nonfranchise service outlets. You will find also that the indies also use LR original and Britpart parts so even if you still have warranty left there shouldn't be a problem.
GEMM are at Larbert (right beside) the Viaduct - BARTTEC Engineering are in Airdrie

BTW I bought my car through Kam100, and it was supplied by Charles Hurst Park Royal - you can often find much better deals down south than you can up here too - bigger market and more competition between dealers Thumbs Up than in Scotland. 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it
2018 Melting Silver Mini Countryman PHEV - soon to be replaced
2015MY Corris Grey SDv6 HSE Dynamic, the best car I have ever owned, totally reliable only a cou0le of rattles in 3 years, now no longer in my care
Also in my garage is a 1996 TDi300 Defender 90 County HT made into a fake CSW

I'm near Paisley, Tim. What you say about indies is indeed correct. My M3 has not had a dealer warranty for about a year now and hence all my work has been carried out by BMW specialists. They have all the latest diagnostics and if anything carry out a much thorough inspection.

I've made contact with CHPR and have instructed them to find a suitable vehicle. Will drop a pm to Kam as well.

Cheers
