Germany 2006 Range Rover Sport TDV6 HSE Bonatti Grey
Why is there no clock in my front display?

Hi all,

maybe I'm just too stupid to read the manual but I have a problem:
I've been driving a courtesy RRS last week and it hat a clock in the upper left corner of the front display, i.e. the display next to the speedo.
In my RRS that space is just empty green. I'd like to have the clock right where I can see it since it is always a little tricky to read the watch on the readio while driving in town or on the Autobahn. Is there a setting that has been gone wrong or does the RRS only have this feature in newer models?

I didn't find anything in the manual about it. Thanks! Smile RRS TDV6 HSE, 2006, bonatti grey, ebony interior, rear diff, s/c grille and vents, stormers, privacy, tasmods, iphone integration Wink

Because you have a 2006MY RRS! The clock in the info display came in 2007MY IIRC. The clock in the radio was one of the earliest "we need to have this changed" items on the forums 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it

Well, I feared this answer would come. Confused And I guess there is no possibility to change that except changing the display which will cost very, very much money, right? Sad

Thanks a lot for the fast reply anyway! Thumbs Up

Well, I'll have to continue looking on my wrist watch then, after all it works more exactly than the Land Rover one anyway. Wink RRS TDV6 HSE, 2006, bonatti grey, ebony interior, rear diff, s/c grille and vents, stormers, privacy, tasmods, iphone integration Wink

Nailing a sundial to the bonnet would be more accurate than the LR clock Laughing Laughing Current: I can't say...Oh the Shame!

Something that surprises me a bit with the RRS is that when I had a Freelander1 I had the dealer fit the optional Land Rover branded Phillips Carin satnav when the car was about 9 months old. The dash board clock became a slave of the radio/satnav and not only was it spot on timewise but when the spring and autumn clock changes occurred the dash clock and the radio clock automatically changed as well....................... that was in 2001, we don't appear to have advanced much because in 2009 I have to manually advance or retard the car's clock even though the satnav has a way more accurate internal clock than the in dash clock!
Here's something tasteful to stick on the dashboard McB

Well I thought the £19 one was wasting money as the RRS already has an outside temperature gauge.................... and £10 would buy you a 2nd one from the link to stick in the back of the car. 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it
