If all else fails, leave the Sport stationary engine running when warm. That'll thaw them out. Runner up - 2009 Best Avatar Award Sad

They don't get that warm Paul. They are heated but not HOT! Another thing to try is to squirt some aerosol de-icer (kust a tiny amount) on each nozzle and leave it for a couple of minutes. Is the tank frozen or are the lines frozen?

ST - Paulo has an S/C - leaving it to warm up will cost about 1/2 tank of fuel - they don't have an FBH in S/C's IIRC............................. 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it

LOL....

No idea what is frozen.....

I filled the bottle full of a pre-mix, now not sure that it was winter stuff, so reckon it is probably all frozen!

PS - My SC 4.2 Engine is so efficient that the engine bay, oddly, doesn't get too warm. Really weird... 2022 P440e AB

It's because of this, and to reduce cold start emissions, that the TD engines have the FBH. The high carbon content engine block is so thermally efficient that in cold weather you don't get warm air into the cabin for a very long time without the FBH, which is set up to cut-in automatically when the outside temperature is less than 5C, it still takes time to heat the cabin with it running, just you get warm air within 2-3 minutes instead of waiting hours. 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it

I've just moved my car off the drive - all scooshers frozen solid and nothing coming out even after running the engine long enough to get warm air to thaw the ice on the screens. The water bottle isn't frozen as there is fluid water right up into the neck of the washer bottle neck. 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it

Checked the Halfords screen wash I have today - instructions give dilution directions and they say that neat liquid has strong enough antifreeze to work down to -15C. 50% is ok down to -5C. I think part of the problem is that the front screen washer lines run between the steelwork and the under-bonnet insulation so you are on a looser even with the nozzle heating as the insulation also stops the engine heat from getting to the lines and the steel will be freezing them too.
In 1982 I remember having a long period of temperatures that even in my garage went down to -20C. Even the neat screen wash froze and the washer tank didn't thaw out even after a 19 mile drive into town and sitting in the rush hour traffic. 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it
