SOLD - 4x Original 19" Wheels and Nearly New MT/Rs

The time has come to sell my off-road wheels and tyres. The tyres have only covered about 200 miles on the road and you can still see the red and blue bands around them. The wheels have a few marks/chips, but hey, they're for off-roading only. They could be refurbed quite easily if you were so inclined.

Sensible Offers Please!

I just want a sensible price for them. We all know what these wheels cost, and we all know what these tyres cost. They've had minimal wear and so someone canget a bargain here. I've been offered £70 a corner on disco3, which I think is too low. As I've said on disco3, I'm not desparate for the cash, but I would like a realistic offer for them, and if they sell through rrsport, I'll donate 10% to the forum.

@Angel:
Thanks for the pm. Cool

@tafftoo:
If you and Rupert will not make the deal, please offer me the wheels, I'd propably take them. Thumbs Up
I am currently looking for wheels like those, I'll just have to talk to my dealer about the warranty (since they are Disco's size and not RRS's size it may affect the warranty in Germany Rolling Eyes ), I will be at the stealer's on monday so I can tell you then if you can wait that long? Question

Thanks. Smile RRS TDV6 HSE, 2006, bonatti grey, ebony interior, rear diff, s/c grille and vents, stormers, privacy, tasmods, iphone integration Wink

2013 Range Rover Sport SDV6 HSE Stornoway Grey

McB - those are the wheels fitted to TDv6 HSE RRS's in the UK so shouldn't make any difference to your warranty, they are also the wheels fitted to the 2009 G4 RRs's so they should be OK for your TDv8............... 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it
2018 Melting Silver Mini Countryman PHEV - soon to be replaced

Yes Tim, you are indeed correct Thumbs Up

However, two issues exist.

1) The tyre size listed for a 19” rim on a RRS is 255/50 19. So by putting on a 255/[b]55/[b] 19 tyre, you are in effect putting on a non-approved tyre size. This could affect your warranty & also in the event of an accident, an insurances company could use this to worm their way out of paying up. The vehicle is not as specified by the manufacturer. Could be a line they might take.

2) The “main brain” in an RRS is configured with the rolling radius that a 50 X 19 tyre gives, so by putting on a 55 X 19 tyre you throw that out. Not a lot, but throw it out nonetheless. So your speedo readings, gear ratios etc will be a little out of whack.

There is however a setting on the IDS system, that allows a dealer to upload a tyre size of 255/55 19 into the RRS, which will correct the discrepancies. Given that the RRS & D3 share pretty much the same systems & that a 255/55 19 tyre is a listed size for a D3, it is only a software issue.

This, I suspect, is how the G4 RRS’s run on MTR’s.

Thanks for the info Rupert. So in effect you are running a "modified "car if you fit the MTR's to your RRS, regardless of the model. 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it
