Funny Videos Testing Terrain Response settings in a D3

Thought I would share this with you chaps. I posted this on the D3 site.

Yesterday we decided to try out a little tongue in cheek experiment.

We tried 3 of the terrain response settings on the D3 as you will see from the video the conditions were ice and snow.

The track had been driven a few times so the snow was compacted and very slippy.

1st Grass Gravel and Snow http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=v4C_c6NjchY

The car took off OK on the flat but was unable to proceed on the steeper slope when forward motion was lost

2nd Sand
We are doing about 25 mph when Carl asks “how fast are we going?” Shocked Just after this Poor Steve gets into a bit of a wobble Rolling with laughter Rolling with laughter Rolling with laughter

The car pulled off with a little difficulty on the steeper incline

3rd Rock Crawl

No issues.

Hi Andrew,
Thanks for posting these.

2 questions
What tyres are you using for this "experiment"

does this prove that rock crawl is more effective than grass/gravel/snow or just best used for difficult takeoffs?

Looks like you had a lot of fun... Cool
