Ipod & phone

I had a bit of time to spare so took this picture to show a phone in the cradle and an ipod. No comment needed!

Is that one of the Apple connection options that grommet was talking about recently or simply in-car charger and AUX connection? Congratulations on your excellent selection of pens too... Laughing

Simply an in-car charger and aux connection. In the compartment I have a 3 way 12v socket running off the one behind the front seats. 2005 Zambezi TDV6 - Gone but not forgotten

An in-car charger and a phono lead, to fit into your ipod's headphone socket and the cars socket - both same size - with 2 male ends. 2005 Zambezi TDV6 - Gone but not forgotten

No, that is standard with the car although I'm not sure if you get it on the S/C with the cooler compartment. One of our S/C folks should be able to confirm that....

This is the "best" solution for basic iPod connectivity: http://catalog.belkin.com/IWCatProductPage..._Id=149006

One cable to the iPod dock connector. In addition to power/charging, it feeds the iPod's "line-out" audio (which is driven at a higher level) to a 3.5mm jack on the power plug. Since the power plug is right next to the AUX jack on RRS, it's really quite clean with a very short 3.5mm cable.

Though still not completely volume matched (Land Rover, PLEASE add a AUX volume off-set to the head unit!), it's better than using the headphone jack.

Cooler Box vehicles get a tray that sits on top, too. But I think it looks slightly different than the one pictured. I don't think there is an open slot in the front, since it's intended to contain the cool. But I'm typing from memory...

The tray is just the same in the S/C............ but where the gap/hole is (where your wires thread through)........... this is where the button/switch is located that turns the cooler box ON/OFF

This is true, as in the Supercharger, the tray acts as the seal for the fridge, keeping things CHILLED to perfection. It's great being stuck in traffic knowing that your smoked salmon sandwich is staying nice and fresh!

And to add to an earlier post, you don't NEED an in car charger for the iPod, unless you plan to run it for 7hrs plus straight, I know it's handy, but just a simple 3.5mm jack lead will do. You can charge it at home.

The money is just for show - it rarely lasts a day due to the cost of parking in London, 4.00 an hour. 2005 Zambezi TDV6 - Gone but not forgotten
