Rearview Homelink buttons backlit?

Many thanks to all for the wealth of info already posted.
After 3 days driving my RRS, I love this vehicle. However, I have noticed that the Homelink buttons on the rearview mirror are not backlit. So either I have a defective unit, or LR neglected to include this item of technology. It's already a pain that the buttons are on the mirror and not on the headliner, and also an irritation that I keep moving the mirror trying to find and activate the buttons without the assistance of backlighting.
