Off Roading

I read in the 4x4 & Mpv mag yesterday that a Mitsuibishi owner went off roading, failed to clean his radiator after and blew a head gasket on way home. The pictures of the day were published in the club forum.
Mitsuibishi found the pictures on the forum! and declined to pay on the warranty.
I think the moral to this is don't publicise any modifications or pics that might affect your warranty that LR can identify back to you via here.

Also quite a good article on RRS vs new ML. Though not very accurate on the RRS. Wink TDV6 - gone

The conclusion was that the RRS "was arguably the more special, characterful and classy of this pair. But it would have been much better with a stronger engine and more handling dynamism".
Some what inaccurate in that they quoted that the superb Dynamic handling pack from the S/C wasn't available on the diesel. Which of course it is! So that must mean that it is only let down by the engine.

They raved about the ML's performance and economy. But as I'm sure we all know that is a marketing ploy by Mercedes. ie if you add the off road pro package and air suspension to it to bring it up to spec with the RRS. It will be alot heavier and the performance figures will change for the worse.

As someone who is changing from Merc, you cannot beleive their figures. They do not match with the real world.

They scored the ML as better in some areas. None of which would change my mind. Very Happy TDV6 - gone
