Wanna be car buyer!!! you cheeky Censored I think long and hard before I buy any car but when I do I do it properly and get all the extras.

Just imagine the embarrassment, you take the car into the dealer and the see you haven't got the remote start extra.

VW - it is a great shame you and others didn't make it - if you look at the pics James took of the cars, you will see a pretty empty car park - James had arranged parking for us - we had half the car park cordoned off for us, however it ended up being empty (it was almost a little embarassing). James had also arranged for a discount into the Museum due to a group coming. James - it was greatly appreciated!!!!

There was even a heli pad directly behind us for SP but he didn't arrive either Whistle

It was a great day and really enjoyed it, however as a forum we need to be a lot more proactive in attending meets as if we only end up with a few like yesterday then I can't see many more happening.

Great respect goes to Bob. (with full stop Thumbs Up ) as he only joined a few weeks back, picked his car up last Monday and still made it Bow down Bow down Bow down

Angel - if you think the Radisson was grim (and it was, although I never found time to watch the p*rn channel myself!) you should have been in the Royal Court at Coventry. It has really gone downhill since last year's spring meet (it wasn't that great then!). Yes there was a party that went on until 3am................ it was the Dog of the Year and Puppy of the year award dinner...................... complete with contestants and when they were finished showing, the hounds were returned to cars in the car park where they continued barking and howling for the rest of the night. Also there were 2 coach parties of Welsh grannies who were intent of celbrating St David's day a bit early, and they were not tucked up in bed with a hot Horlicks by 8pm, they made as much noise as the
b:censored:dy dogs with their singing until 1am. Folks the Royal Court has gone into economy mode - the food on the carvery was awful and not much selection and at breakfast this morning I was served the most vile coffee I have ever tasted - it was definitely of the powdered/Nescafe catering pack variety of coffee but I suspect it had been re-heated in a big cauldron and decanted. £160 for B&B - it was cheaper and better value to stay at the Radisson. Britannia Hotels must be going through some hard times as there were about 6 broken windows in the dinning room (these are panels of about 10-15 'leaded' windows and they had been stopped up with binliners! The old part of the building is a listed property and used to be the family home of the Hillman family of carmakers, they would be really sad to see the state the place is in now. I won't be going back again for a very long time. I will return to staying in the New Forest, it's cheaper, better servcie than both hotels and miles better food! OK so it would have been a long drive to Gaydon and back via CHPR, but at least I would have felt I had spent my money better (£85 a night dinner, B&B with 5* award winning Accommodation at my usual place) 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it
2018 Melting Silver Mini Countryman PHEV - soon to be replaced
2015MY Corris Grey SDv6 HSE Dynamic, the best car I have ever owned, totally reliable only a cou0le of rattles in 3 years, now no longer in my care
Also in my garage is a 1996 TDi300 Defender 90 County HT made into a fake CSW
