My New Range Rover

I wanted to put up some pics to show I have finally joined "the club" but alas the gallery has decided "There was an error while processing a database query" is of greater importance than my pics of my standard TDV6 XS. Been trying for over an hour now so finally gave up.

Anyway - I have enjoyed pottering around in it today and will update with pics as soon as the web site allows me to upload them. As this is my first 4x4 I have no real frame of reference in terms of driving and its no fair to compare it to the 7 series as its an enturely different drive.

I have three initial thoughts on this vehicle though:
1) Its slow (a good thing I suppose with 9 points on my license)
2) It handles well
3) It seriously needs some bigger wheels - 18" just doesn't please the ladies these days.

That is all - once I have pics uploaded I welcome tasteful suggestions for reversible modifications.

Thumbs Up

Speed you get used to - it is a different ride and feel that you'll soon adjust to - i don't know whwere i would go next .... it is slower off the mark but for 2.5T i find it can still roar when it needs to....

Handling .... i've still not adjusted to after 3 years or so in RRS's....

Wheels - agree 19's or 20's are needed - 18's look ..... odd... i think they weaken the branding also, kinda like a cat in trainers ...... not right ....

Thanks guys. I am working on this belly bit but alas will lose a fair amount of weight skiing next week.

Now - I need to find a decent set of wheels and tyres for nothing to make the vehicle look half decent.

Will have another bash at uploading pics when I get home later on. WINNER - 2009 Best Newcomer Award

I just checked - all files are less than the 7000Kb max file size and they are all *.jpg"'s. I have managed to upload one from the album but none of the others seem to be successful. Very odd! WINNER - 2009 Best Newcomer Award

Also there is a filter that stops any content that we believe to be offensive such as scenes showing northerners and northern way of life! Wink 2005 Zambezi TDV6 - Gone but not forgotten
