Spot on Thumbs Up Any whipper (no offence intended), chav or no-hoper can drive around in most of the once reserved "elite" cars these days - whether they are insured is another question though........if they don't insure their Nova's come Ferrari's with their 35" diameter exhausts, I doubt they will bother to insure the more prestigious brands Rolling Eyes

Time for a change of tactics I feel, get caught once, car gets confiscated. Get caught a second time, chop their arms and feet off instead of the usual 10hrs "fun" community service and a £50 fine that us taxpayers fork out for via the benefits system. Evil or Very Mad

To be fair Mr Wonka the police are quite switched on with no insurance at the moment, well they are in Notts anyway. There is a system called 'Op Rustproof' up here where all uninsured cars are seized by the police and impounded, the owner must then show documentary proof that they have valid drivers documents before the car is released to them....they have a time limit before the car is destroyed.

Oh and it has to be named insurance so they can't get a mate to collect using traders insurance.

Certainly effective up here and the impound yard is always full Rolling with laughter

Back in the 90's I always found Endsleigh very favourable to my insurance needs when I had sports cars in my early twenties. They covered me into my Esprit S4s at 23 for under GBP 2k.

welcome to our merry band Nathan Smile

17 and getting an RRS - Jeeeez Kids these day's Rolling Eyes I had to make do with
my mum's hand me down mini 850, Soon applied my own funky touches though --
hand painted it black with red stripes and gold wheels Shocked Rolling with laughter Rolling with laughter
Then saw the light and swapped it for a bright red MKIV Triumph Spitfire - Suddenly found
I was a babe magnet --- Ah memories of sweet youth Mr. Green Laughing

Good luck with the Rangie M8.

Have you thought of getting your folks to insure it with you as named driver with one
of the firms that will give No Claim Discounts to named drivers. Keep it like that for
a couple of years then insure in your own name. 2013 Discovery HSE Luxury - 3.0 SDV6 - Santorini Black
