Switzerland 2008 Range Rover Sport TDV8 HSE Stornoway Grey
Mud towing/recovering

The other day I was at a car show, and the had us park in a field. After a few hours came out to find rain and snow. In that car park a guy with an Audi(front wheel drive) trying to get out spun the wheel and dug himself in(bumper almost touching the ground)
They asked me if I could help, but unfortunately I had left the rope at home and he did not have one.
That got me thinking, what setting would you use in a case like that(to tow/recover another car)? Field, very wet, mud(quite soft) and a bit of snow?
Low range, Mud and snow? Else?

Thanks '08 RRS TDV8
I converted my diesel RRS to run on an environmentally friendly mixture of caribou fat and baby seals oil

I pulled a car out of the mud the other day just with the car in drive without any problems. It was stuck pretty deep. Didn't feel any need to go into low range just let the torque do the work RRS TDV8 Buckingham Blue
