Just taken them off my RRS which I sold with standard 20"s. I am currently at work until Friday after which date I can give you all the details.

Did you buy them from Overfinch? How much did you pay for them? Do you have a receipt?

If they are genuine I will have them!

I dont have a receipt as they had just been put on the car (brand new, just a few hundred miles) by the previous owner when I bought the RRS in Feb08. They are marked as overfinch and when I looked at the Overfinch catalogue they are Tigers. They have covered 2500 miles with me before I took them off before selling.

Any input from other members? If they are stamped OF does this mean they are genuine? Or do the reps still say OF? Thanks

As far as I'm aware, the OF stamp isn't on replicas, but that's not to say a less than reputable manufacturer wouldn't stamp the OF logo into theirs. Personally, I'd like to see a receipt if only to show that the price you're paying is valid Very Happy

The description is pretty vague, are they marked as Overfinch with a badge or are they stamped on the back of a rim?

Cant find it now, but Overfinch had a page on their website describing how to distinguish originals from reps. 2006 '56 RRS TDV6 HSE, Java Black, Alpaca Interior, PTI, Sidesteps, 22" Stormers wrapped in 285/35/22 Toyo Proxes, Java Framed SC Grille, Java/Zambezi Side Vents, Matt Black LR3 Door Handles, Matt Black Lower Tailgate Trim, Colour coded lower body trims, Semi Smoked Taillights, Chrome Mirrors and Fog Light Bezels, Reflex Exhaust Back, Full Pentagon AutoGlass Privacy, Tasmod Sills, Clear Side Repeaters, pics in gallery!

the word overfinch should be cast into the back of the spoke.

load rating should be over 1000kg (1035 or 1050 cant remember which)

the centre badge hole should have overfinch centre caps.

YOU SHOULD NOT BE ABLE TO FIT LANDROVER WHEEL CENTRES , THE HOLES SHOULD BE DIFFERENT.

There are several sets for sale on Ebay right now....I've enquired the load rating of all of them.

765kg Shocked Shocked

Good Luck

Big Mart would 765kg not be acceptable? 4 x 765 = 3060kg??

I will be back from work Friday and will check out the markings, they have overfinch centre caps. I didn't realise there was so much to it.
Standby for further information.....

Johnny Fresh.

Landrover wheels are 900kg minimum giving a safety margin.
tyres are rated at 950kg (106 load rating) to match the safety margin.

I think kerbweight of an hse is around 2500kg , put 4 passengers and some luggage , tools etc and it's not difficult to get to 3000kg or even put your caravan on the back.

OR just go down a pothole.

If Landrover think you need a safety margin ,then I agree.
If you had a crash , and your insurance company looked at the wheels and noticed the load rating was lower than original I think they would take a dim view.

I wouldnt want to drive along cringing with every pothole with wheels I knew were only just up to the job.
Sad

Re loading, remember that there will be additional forces/weight exertion on the wheels when cornering, braking, accelerating etc. These could potentially add up to significantly higher weight pressure on the wheels.

I wouldn't have thought putting wheels with a load rating lower than what LR use would be a good idea Runner up - 2009 Best Avatar Award Sad
