There is an ipod lead, about £150 ISTR, that will play the ipod (or other mp3 player) via the ICE, and charge it. iphone's connect via BT for the phone side. Porsche Cayenne S Diesel 66 Plate

TLO on the D3 site (Nick from Yeovil LR) is cheaper than that. You have to take the stereo out to plug it in but many who have done it say this is easy. The volume is at normal levels apparently rather than having it turned right up to hear a whisper. I don't have one but I haven't heard any bad press. The only thing some have said is they don't like having the ipod in the glove box where dealers usually install it.

Search on the D3 site for more info. Porsche Cayenne S Diesel 66 Plate
