Places to source new tyres from

Here's a couple of links to places that you can source Grade A tyres from (not rejects or or anything like that)

http://www.bridgestone-tyres.co.uk/ (Johnsons Tyres)

http://www.mytyres.co.uk/start.html (MyTyres)

Best bet with Jonhsons is to call after looking, sometimes they don't have the largest sizes listed in all the makes, they always try and beat any quotes.

I used Mytyres for the M5 I had, cheaper than everywhere else and fast delivery. There's something beautiful about a stack of brand new tyres...

The rear tyres on the right of the picture are also 275 width, nice and fat.

Having just tel 'parts' at my local dealer a new 20" alloy would cost £350 retail plus vat - add into that the £234 I have just paid for a new tyre = £584 x 4 for a set - so a grand total of £2336 Shocked

So............ the set on ebay wheels/tyres ( genuine LR products and new tyres ) @ £1499 is a bargain.

any comments Confused

Think you're right. If you are keeping the car long term and the wheels were looking shabby, or if you needed to replace all four tyres, you have to wonder if it's worth spending £234 per tyre (total of £936) or whether it makes more sense to spend £500 more and get the new tyres AND alloys and then sell your old alloys for at least £500 with the old tyres on, someone on eBay will buy them for sure, especially if they are the 20" Supercharged wheels.

Then you get your new tyres and some spanky new wheels to make the car look new again, and could probably swap to Stormers while you are at it.

It's a no brainer. I must remember this if it ever comes to it. L319 D4 HSE
