When I worked for another LR dealership in 2002/03, we have severe snow storms (well for Buckinghamshire anyway ), and had to donate a number of our demonstrators to the local Police. They were very grateful and we got a mention in the local press.

The only downside was that for the one real day you needed 4x4 I was left with a BMW 5-Series part-exchange to get myself home in!

I remember one FFRR owner who managed to get himself on the 9pm news when that snow fall occurred and he was stuck on the M4. He was filmed from a helicopter having driven off the motorway, up the bank and was driving home across the fields in the 4x4 he never thought he would ever use in ernest 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it

My brother and I did the same in his Izuzu 4x4 years ago

Stuck on the A65 after another accident and the farmer told us to follow him as he was stuck too

Opened a gate, went it to his field and through another 5 to get past the blockage.

He then went back and had to tow a volvo estate back out as he tried to follow too

Sorry for not getting to this sooner and thanks Tim for posting the story on here

It was not as bad as the papers make out but the old ladies were very greatful for our assistance.

If you follow the thread that Tim has posted you can see that I have posted 2 newspaper clips - I was trying to get them up on here but I dont know how to do it.

Russell. "UNDERSTEER" ----is when you hit the fence with the front of the car.
"OVERSTEER" ------is when you hit the fence with the rear of the car.
"HORSEPOWER" ----is how fast you hit the fence.
"TORQUE" -----------is how far you take the fence with you.
