underseal of chasis

I have an RR sport TDV8 and wish to take it skiing at christmas.
The last time I did this was with an X5 which suffered a lot of corrosion damage.
Can anyone advise a company that will underseal to protect it?

You should not need to do this, in the winter we spend a lot of time in Winterberg, (local ski resort) and I have not had a problem with my sport or previous D3. Speed Limits! not where I live!

Back in a D3

Did have: RRS TDV8 2008.5MY
Did have: Q7 3.0TDi S-Line/Tech/Comms pack
Did Have: Disco3 HSE

Think they have moved now.....Warwickshire or Wolverhampton or somewhere.

I got this guy to do my Deafeningender....TBH for the money, it was NOT a good job and hence why I did not bother using him again, instead I spent 2 days and a lot of patience and did it myself.....mind you BEWARE: I ended up blacker than the original Michael Jackson Confused Whistle L322 Big Daddy SUPERCHARGED 5.0 Autobiography - Here & Now!

From what I know, under floor areas and rocker outer panels are treated with a plastisol PVC underbody sealer. Metal to metal adhesive is applied to critical joint areas during factory assembly.

All Land Rover bodywork components have a cathodic base coating. Individual bodywork components are zinc plated on one or both sides (in different areas depending on vehicle model).

Together with elastic paint coating, this guarantees an optimum, highly resistant protection against corrosion caused by the impact of small objects such as gravel.

A heat cured, PVC based sealant is applied to specific joint seams during factory assembly.

Expanding foam acoustic seals are used in various closed-sections of the body to improve vehicle refinement. The seals are installed during the vehicle body manufacture and expand during the paint process up to ten times original size, thus locking them into position. The seals have spilt functionality depending on location. The seals located at the base of the body pillars have a primary function of preventing water ingress when wading. Their secondary function is to prevent noise and dust ingress.

Cavity wax is injected in box members, cavities and door interiors.

I could go on and on but I guess you get the drift... Wink Malaysia Boleh!

Will I've heard from several people that his "service" was not all it is cracked up to be, and I remember reading a series of posts on one of the better known Landy Forums where the owner and several unhappy customers got well and truly heated - in fact IIRC didn't one client go to one of the big Landy shows and camp on the guys exhibition stand in protest at the poor quality of the service he had received! 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it

Correct Tim, all members steer very clear Sad Quite the most appalling job I have ever had the misfortune to see when I took the recently totally-restored Classic. The RRS's will rust, ultimately, just like the P38's are now doing, but members will have unloaded theirs long before that happens, no doubt. Or they will have been re-posessed! Shocked
