Heated washer fluid

Is it true that the RRS has heated washer fluid? I tried spraying it to deice my windsheld, and I don't think it worked very well. Can anyone help with this? RRS S/C Special Edition, Vesuvius

Not exactly "washer fluid." From the manual:

Heated washer jets
If the ambient temperature falls to a point where icing of the washer jets could occur, power is applied to heat the jets provided that the starter switch is in position II.

An approved windshield wash is necessary to prevent freezing in very cold weather.

Basically, the washer jet tip is heated when necessary so they do not stay frozen. It's your job to use washer fluid with anti-freeze protection.

Not to mention the fact that the heated windscreen works fantastically well for performing the deice first thing in the morning when you get out to the car.... hit the PROG button as soon as you get in the car and the front and rear screens will be clear within a couple of mins, sometimes quicker if you help the ice away with the wipers.

And don't try and cheat by pouring hot or boiling water on a frozen screen otherwise....
