United Kingdom 2005 Range Rover Sport TDV6 HSE Rimini Red
Oh, my aching bones

The seats in my RRS HSE are killing me. After a couple of hours at the wheel I feel as if I have been kicked in the kidneys (particularly the left side). Needless to say this is very uncomfortable and the pain takes a long time to clear after finishing the journey. I am about average build, but the problem seems to be that the seat back is too narrow so my back "rests" on the very firm, forward pointing sides of the seat. Does anyone else suffer this problem ?

You surprise me these seats are by far the most comfortable I've had and I'm v well built (fat!) 2005 Zambezi TDV6 - Gone but not forgotten

I wouldn't say they're the most comfortable I've ever had (M3 seats were insurpassable) but I do find them very comfy now - although it took a bit of fiddling to get exactly the right settings. I take it you have experimented with various seat configurations?

The only slight issue I have is the head rest, which tilts forward and I can't seem to get comfortable with it, I'm 5'8" maybe not the ideal height to own a RRS?

I quote from the Handbook, p412:

"Should customers find they are 5'8" they should return their RRS to the dealer immediately for a full refund"

I did find them a problem only at first, now I am used to them it's ok. I am just a tad over 6' and of slim build, so I fit inbetween the seat bolsters pretty well.

It makes a change for me, the seats in my M5 were a bit too wide for me (M3 seats are amazingly good for adjustability) and I'd find I slid about a bit, when pushing on. L319 D4 HSE
