Strange door locking issue

Following me changing the battery recently (all went well, no other issues), I have had a strange issue with the ROS door.
-The door locks when I press in the black button on the handle along with all the other doors.
-It opens when the handle is touched along with all the other doors.
-I open the front o/s door by touching that handle, but the rear o/s door doesn't unlock and can't be unlocked from inside. All other doors unlock.
I have tried changing the auto lock on drive off and the 1-2 stop locking but it makes no difference.
The r o/s handle and lock do work, but only when unlocked using that handle which would suggest that the handle sensor is working as is the locking mechanism, so not the actuator.
Has anybody had this issue before?
I'm thinking of trying a hard reset but is there a simple check/fix?
TIA

Had a very similar issue with the rear o/s on mine way back, although in my case it was intermittent, new door lock/catch sorted it.

Cheers

Thanks for that Col, I'll have a look to see how easy/cheap they are to change.

Bit of further info, although the door does unlock and open when you pull the handle, if you just touch it and unlock the car, then try to open the door, it doesn't.
I must say that I saw a youtube of a couple of American guys making a bit of a mess of changing the actuator, and that being on a door on a stand off the car. They broke the handle and I hope the door isn't going back on a car.
It looks like you have to take the glass out and I'm not convinced that my abilities are up to that.
Can anyone point me in the direction of a better video, or suggest how much it will cost at an indi?

You do not have to take the glass out, you can actually do it without disconnecting the glass from the glass from the winder motor linkage as well, although it is a bit fiddly especially if you have hand the size of a shovel. I found it a lot easier as if you remove the outer handle as well, makes it easier to remove and reattach the internal release cable. The only downside with removing the outer handle is you will probably break the little lugs that hold the small cover on as it appears to be designed to be fitted and not removed easily.

Cheers

Thanks Col, yeah I guess there may be a technique to take the handle out without breaking it but they didn't have it. You wouldn't have the part numbers would you?

There a a few different lock/catches listed, however the part number for mine was LR019345 which has the keyless start and passive entry, but is a MY13 car and not sure if they are the same as slightly earlier cars. Fortunately I had a few of the small covers laid around, new ones come from L/R primed so if yours are colour coded you would need to get it painted, however if it is the standard "Oberon" colour I think you may be able to still get these from L/R part no. LR018254 for about a tenner, but not sure if they are still avaliable.

Cheers
