(new member) Head light amber strip removal replacement?

Hi everyone, im new to the site just wanted to say hi and ask a couple of questions about a few things... ive been reading through some of the posts and i'm really impressed with the amount of knowledge floating about. Awsome site...

I just bought my first range rover in black, its an hse but i want completely colour code it, insides of lights and all. i've figured out how to take the aparts apart to spray but not how to replace the amber strip!! any ideas? and the same goes for the rear ambers (read something bout ovens? NOT BRAVE ENOUGH)

any and all info would be appreciated...

cheers
Adem

Welcome

Yep from what i remember you need to put the light in a over to melt the glue and get yourself down to a hard ware shop and buy the same sort of material (used in office lights) cut that down and fit then put the light back together?

Rear light's are the same i think? In the over then your have to brake the amber part of the light and your done

Oh you'll also need to get some amber bulbs Thumbs Up RRS TDV6 Gone but still around

That looks much better then the standard... what temp and for how long should i shove it in for? and how will i re-seal the units? iv also taken a shot at getting the headlight unit out and was unsuccessful, felt like there might be one last screw holding it in... but didnt wanna force it, obviously being a newbie at this im taking it slow. what paint did u use on the inside? was thinking about getting some spray matt from halfords or sumthing...

cheers guys
