United Kingdom 2010 Range Rover Sport 3.0 TDV6 HSE Santorini Black
Hello from a newbie

Hello Everyone,

I am just about to join the club and purchase a RRS 2.7 HSE. Its an 06, 1 owner, 20" rims, privacy glass, side steps, charger grills and vents etc...

My only concern is the fuel consumption, i know it a question of how heavy your right foot is but is 28mpg as LR quote realistic? I know this is not the best vehicle to buy should this be a worry and I am coming from a 330ci conv but have read with great interest about the re mapping. Can any 2.7 owners let me know what they get on average, be good to get confirmation from the remapped owners before and after>

Also what should I be looking for prior to making my final decision, are brembos standard from a certain year? What extras are essential etc.. Are the dealers struggling for sales due to the "credit crunch" and fuel costs?

All info provided will be greatly received Very Happy

All depends where you drive - I do a 50;50 split and will get 24mpg but because of my RRS's setup I lose about 2mpg. 2005 Zambezi TDV6 - Gone but not forgotten
2009 Alaska TDV8 - Gone and much missed.

In London, and with a heavy right foot (and heavy everything else now that you think about it) I get about 21-22 mpg - full tank lasts me between 300 and 350 miles.....

All cars drop money, some more than others.....summertime is good time to buy one though as prices are lower for these types of cars than they are in Winter - and opposite for convertibles.....

Enjoy the car, great to look at and great to own Thumbs Up

Brembos were standard from 2007 model year - privacy, bluetooth and brembos are a good option - if you find the enhanced hi-fi even better......

thanks for the replys guys, the one I am looking at is buckingham blue with ivory leather which i love at present but dont know if i will regret not getting a black one. Saying that i dont want black with black leather and getting black with ivory will be like a needle in a haystack!

Personally not a fan of the blue - and black is very common, but the ivory interiors or alpacca are out there - just becareful on the wood colours - the Ikea colour wood is a prt tough on the eyes!!!

Silver is by far the best colour for the RRS (Except for white!) 2005 Zambezi TDV6 - Gone but not forgotten

Its got the silver trim/inserts whatever you want to call them. Sorry for the ppl here with the wood option and each to their own but i hate it... Silver and ivory goes really well together, it actually looks black until you see it next to a black one. Do I dare to go different and not go with over half of the RRS owners with black.

P.S black is a bitch to keep clean, perhaps the buckingham blue wont be as bad? Anyone with a bucking blue out there? Thumbs Up
