Strange Thing : Come To Stop 5secs Later car moves

Anybody Help

when driving i come up to traffic lights or a normal stop within 5 secs it feels as if someone has come up behing me and just nudged the bumper really strange i feel the car move shunt forward only very slight, anybody here have that problem.

i due to call stealer while under warranty, also strange thud when accelerating as if linkage problem from gear box i have a ml 270cdi 2002 and this does not do either

This is apparently a characteristic of the car - usually starts within 2 years of new - personally I think this is bull. There is a software update your dealer can do but I found this didn't solve the problem.

Not sure about this one it could simply be a half empty tank of fuel or maybe the weights at the back of your car by the exhaust. 2005 Zambezi TDV6 - Gone but not forgotten

I believe what you are feeling is not a forward motion, but in fact the car levelling itself (air suspension), and the front end is dropping or lifting creating that sensation of being bumped.

Sometimes sitting for a few seconds without moving can cause the car to relevel...

Could be but that doesn't happen everytime I stop.

could the forward motion sensation be something to do with the car engaging the diff. due to a faulty sensor causing the rear wheels to try and rotate?
