Don't do this at home

Here is a tip for how to give yourself a hernia by changing a wheel. The secret is to pull upwards, really hard, on a wheel brace. That will do the trick nicely - certainly worked for me.

Apparently, if you would rather avoid all sorts of discomfort and appointments with knife wielding surgeons, only ever push downwards on a wheel brace.

Wish someone had told me that a couple of weeks ago

Rolling with laughter ...sorry shouldn't laugh!

The OE tool kit is pretty rubbish for a 2.5 tonne 4x4.

I remember when we got the Stormers delivered, I used the OE tool kit to replace all four wheels. Nearly got a hernia myself (After about 2 hours! Shocked ) Runner up - 2009 Best Avatar Award Sad

Smarticus, sorry I am about to hijack your thread for a minute.

Hello Mr Charles Hurst Park Royal, a week ago, I emailed Andrew about some OEM waterproof seat covers since I haven't had much luck with the dealer here in Melbourne. You have another thread about what influences one to buy a car and the consensus seems to be the dealer's attitude.

Although I live in Australia and am therefore unlikely to buy a car from you in London, my perception would be really improved if I could get an answer to my email.....

Can you help me out with my question?

Cheers

I can't help personally with the enquiry, but will chase your enquiry with Andrew Harding immediately!

Thanks for bringing it to my attention.

It comes to something when you have to get parts from a dealer 12,000 miles away cos the local mob can't/don't.. help! Great job James.

BKHK - out of curiosity for myself can you share what the cost of buying and shipping the seat covers to Melbourne is?

Hi 2nd

They are as follows....not sure about shipping yet but it shouldn't be too bad:

Price: LR005215 Front Seat Covers Aspen Retail = £114.25 + vat

LR005216 Front Seat Covers Sand Retail = £114.25 + vat

LR005224 Rear Seat Covers Aspen Retail = £132.66 + vat

LR005225 Rear Seat Cover Sand Retail = £132.61 + vat

I will go for Sand I think since green and Stornoway doesn't go too well!!

juts piggy backing om that thread...Are those seats cover "working" with the dvd screens in the back of the front headrest? And before anyone ask, no I am not hoping to be able to watch a movie with the seat cover on ?! Cool

It is more in relation to the fact that the headrest as a cable running from it into the seat. The headrest can be lifted but not removed. Range Rover Vogue ‘17 TDV6

and you can't take the headrests off to fit them if you have screens in the headrests. 2005 Zambezi TDV6 - Gone but not forgotten
