Right! That's it Im off to bed in a sulk.

I'll probably dream about VA and the dozy bird from stratstone service in a layby exchanging a big fat brown envelope and throwing their heads back and laughing at me. Big Cry Big Cry

Well enjoy it VA! As you buy another trinket for that ridiculous ride of yours. Just remember that cash is dirty. And you are as guilty as STRATSTONE. You have blood on your hands....

etc etc... Cant be bothered with this Im too knackered! Just joking VA before you delete my post! (he he)

Night night gentlemen

I picked up my RRS from them yesterday and they were well aware of this thread on the forum. I have to say although I've had a great deal of problems with Stratstones with my Jag in the past these guys were very nice indeed, I couldn't fault anything.

My main issue with my local Stratstone Jag dealer, and it's a Pendragon Group wide issue is their b Censored y call centres. You call the dealers number with a local STD code but go through to a call centre. You then book your car in for a service and explain all your issues to the non-technical call centre person on the phone although it appears you are talking to the dealer. You then drop off your car for a service and find there has been a multitude of miscommunications between the call centre and the dealer. It's a serious issue the group need to address in my opinion.

My experience of Stratstone Nottingham Land Rover however (grated not on the service side) 5 Stars!

It was a great drive home too......................... Twisted Evil

Well aware of the thread??

How about they bl Censored dy called me then and actually APOLOGISED for their poor service!!

HUNTERS Derby called me. They followed up the service with a courtesy call to check everything was OK with the car and the service I had received! And as I said before, If I DO decide to buy the supercharger, then they will get my business if the price is right!

Like I said before R33, the sales guys and the staff in general are very good and professional at Stratstones. It just seems you phone service and always get someone who frankly doesnt seem to know what they are talking about, and appears ill trained and uninformed about the products and services. I have had this SO MANY TIMES with STRATSTONE (In derby and Chesterfield), which is why I wrote the original post. I think that when you consider all the £££££ I've spent over the years, to just fob you off and mess you about for £50 quid is insulting.

It was only last month they were trying to get me to go on an experience day - Blast round in all the cars, lunch and drinks etc etc. As I have experience organising such events that must have cost them over £100 a head I reckon. Then they blow it for 50!!!!

Out of interest, in the end my bill from Hunters was £300 + VAT, NOT £350 + vat. So in the end I paid no more!

The thread has now been removed from the forum and will not be returning. Dealer feedback is one thing, but when it starts to get into the grey territory beloved of lawyers, this is where we have to intervene and protect this site.

Ex-X5, nobody likes to be treated badly by their dealership but unfortunately this discussion is becoming more than the site can be responsible for facilitating. Sorry, but you'll have to let us know of the outcome once it's been decided - good luck with it Very Happy

Very noble of you Schmoogle.

Thank you for making a call on my ability to judge whether or not I am commenting in an appropriate and indeed legal(!!) manner fella. Good to know someone is protecting me from my own ignorance.

I reckon its getting to something if I can't report how I was given a price, and then told they'd cocked up and refused to honour it? Christ, it's not like Im accusing Stratstone of crimes against humanity.

They acted like dummies; and I should be able to report it. In (my) ideal world one of their blokes could have come on here and apologised or explained and thats the end of it. Instead I am left feeling like some kind of gobshite rumour monger!

By the way Schmoogle - check out your own words below (see other STRATSTONE post):

--------------------------
"Yep - typical Stratstones.

I wouldn't go near any Stratstone's dealer if they were last on the planet.

Utter Censored s all of them.

--------------------------

Defamatory comments if ever I saw them? Kettles and pots mate.

Reading through that particular post, trust you will now delete it?

…watch this space everyone.

PS even though I'm not best pleased with your hipocrisy you are right - bunch of c Censored s!

Ex-X5.. i think if you were to open a new post and detail what happened again, and make your feedback known again on the forum, it would go unchecked/moderated. I think you'll find the link to the external site/story which was posted on here is a strong reason the thread was deleted..

Bm3w.co.uk was a massive Bmw forum, and a lot of owners ganged together and caused Bmw a lot of problems/negative feedback.. so much so, Bmw GB UK Ltd found any excuse to see a cause for legal action against the site owners and hence bm3w.co.uk was closed down for a while. It rebounded back as mtorque.co.uk but has no commercial affiliations and has no real owner anymore (or so we've been told), and things on there are kept relatively calm for that reason.

We have to remember these forums are looked at a lot by manufacturers as its a great wealth of knowledge and feedback for themselves and for the dealerships alike, and im all for feedback good/bad specially to dealerships who seem to fall down in their service/aftersales departments.. so i for one would be interested to see your post again, and to see if anyone from stratstone responds to you. Past: Bmw M3 E92 Coupe 57, 335d Coupe 56, Audi RS4 06, RR Sport TD HSE 05,

Hi Kam

Well, I think your comments are fair enough to be honest. I would not like this forum closed down that's for sure. Just that this kind of place should be where you can escape from all the commercialism and litigation us guys deal with every day! We should (I believe) be able to use these type of forums to have a giggle, let off a bit of steam, have a rant, a bit of banter, and generally champion the cause of likeminded individuals without fear of 'the man' on our backs!!!

God I sound like Wolfie Smith.

I can assure you i'm no leftie cabbage muncher and I like the folding stuff and all that guff as much as the next man, but I prefer dodging lawyers and playing corporate ball DURING THE BLOODY DAYTIME! Anyway i'm dropping this Stratstone malarkey; as far as i'm concerned they are the bees knees. I shall order a fully loaded HST off them in the morning.

Schmoogle - pants down son! Rolling with laughter
