I too have had the dreaded squeak....turned out to be anti roll bar bushes and a loose |

I had the same on my old 07 model. Had some anti-roll-bar bushes made special with an internal diameter 0.004" smaller than standard- (tighter fit) I had them made with slots in the centre of the bush and filled them with vaseline to lubricate the anti-roll-bar as it moved sideways. Instant cure. It was a system I designed in 1983 on the early XR3i with the same problem.

Finally booked in for a checkup of the squeaking which turned out to be worn front bushes, fixed under warranty!

Trivett Classic In Sydney - must say the whole process was good from drop off at the valet style service department, straight on a shuttle bus back into the CBD and a quick wash and vac at the same time for collection. They were not the supplying dealer either as I had bought from a Melbourne dealer through a fleet buyer. |
