TDv8 - What happens at 90+ ?

Anyone with a TDv8 will know the feeling. Accelerating hard (on a quiet, long, private road) and the vehicle goes like stink. But then she reaches 90 and the noise drops, the thrust increases and the sense of effortless speed and acceleration magnifies to an almost sureal level. Just awesome...... RRS TDv8 HSE Rimini

And when it gets to 210km/h you can back off the gas to about half and maintain the speed, great car indeed Thumbs Up Sons of dogs come hither and get flesh

The torque curve reaches it's peak around that speed. This is where the TDV8 will win out over the S/C, due to mpg for same power Thumbs Up

The supercharged vogue out accelerated me at around those speeds on a private road Whistle (and i had it planted) Big Cry . Cost him alot of fuel to do it though Laughing .

The range is really an awesome car to drive at those speeds. I cant wait to take it to the ring this year Very Happy .

United States 2007 Range Rover Sport Supercharged Buckingham Blue

I had the pleasure of flooring it full on last week on a long straight local (public Whistle ) road (back of beyond in TX with only Oil fields and cattle for company) and saw a similar effect... reaches a certain speed then just sails on. Scary but strangley attractive...

Then I looked at the Gas gauge and Big Cry But cheaper than riding the coaster at 6Flags... Brit across the Pond Wink

I was supposed to go end of this month but im going to hold off a bit because i might have to go canada. Let me know when you guys do decide on a date and i will try to make it if possible. Ive been a few times and was there this time last year for driver training (not in my car Laughing ). We went around the ring so many times i actually got bored and was sleeping in the passenger sleep of one of th fastest guys out their in a stripped out CSL. The track photographers even caught me along with the in car video Laughing .

Now taking the RRS on the Ring sounds like fun, if it is sept then give me a shout, I'll be in Belgium that month. You will have to check when the Ring is open to the public. Sons of dogs come hither and get flesh
