3 weeks for delivery of a white TDV8 -I can't wait-need valium to contain my excitement.Advice please-is paint /upholstery protection a wase of time (and money) or is it a worthwhile investment.I would appreciate some advice from all the experts on this forum.Thanks

Good choice. As for the paint protection, it's worth having it done if you're planning on going offroad - makes it easier to cater for stone chips and twig scratches, but over here the treatments tend to be quite expensive so you have to weigh it all up. I think member RRUK had his Supaguarded and (I think) he was pretty positive about it. 

Waste of money in my view. The money saved on paint protection can pay for 2/3 really good valets. RRS 2.7 TDV6 HSE Zambezi silver,Alpaca.

I agree with VA had super guard done on my mum's mini, nothing a good clean wouldn't keep at bay never do it again. As VA says a couple of good valets. I want a G55 AMG !!

its all done to the way the product is put on by the chap doing it, but still a waste of money.

I have had a few cars done and not noticed it after a year or two, some you have to retreat every month with a special shampoo or the protection guarantee is nil and void. (how they prove this is anybody's guess)

I would head for a decent polish with a long lasting paint protection wax and apply it yourself.

If your wanting to to go for something more versatile and the cost is no problem. I have heard good reports on the plastic film coverings that are offered, these can be peeled off and reapplied if the worse happens. (i can't remember the brand/name of these at the moment)

Thans for the advice.I get the impression that a good wax will suffice if done on a regular basis.I do intend to take the car around Oz and hopefully go off road
