Removing Number Plate Double sided tape

Does anyone know how to remove the double side sticky pads from both the back of the number plates and the metal of the car effectively? Any solution I could apply that would do the job? Any help would be appreciated...
Thumbs Up

I used a hairdryer on mine and then tar and glue remover to get the last of it.

If you don't have T+G remover then white spirit shouldnt damage the paint.

Good luck.

squirt it with WD40,

go and make a cup of tea,

rubs off with a cloth after 10 minutes

wipe with methylated spirits if sticking on new tape (I do this anyway when putting on sticky things on the car)

I used Misery's hair dryer when changing to CYP plates as it was clearly redundant.
