Boring I know but - phenomenal mpg on RR Sport TDV8 ReMAPPED

Folks

Have generally been pretty disappointed with my fuel consumption however just been down to the midlands and back and got 30.1MPG!!! Granted I was taking it steady - adaprive cruise most of the way.

Really impressed with this - does anyone get better?

Is this a co-incidence that it was with Shell diesel as opposed to the typical sainsburys stuff??

That seems very good as my V6 gets less

The shell fuel makes a big difference

thanks Ant - looks like it's the Shell as I would normally fill up at Sainsburys - amazing - I thought they were exactly the same - will keep on monitoring it though.

Thanks for the response - if I could keep at 30ish I would be more than happy.

Cheers

What mpg were you getting from Sainsburys fuel?

Have been getting up to 32mpg from mine on long runs to the South Coast, at steady speed on the cruise. That is using my spreadsheet and not the trip computer - that is very optimistic and seems to give about 2mpg more over doing an MPG calculation from what you actually put into the car and divide it by the miles covered. I am also getting 2-3 mpg more using non supermarket fuel.

I'm getting nearer 4mpg better than Sainsburys fuel - There may be 4p difference per litre in the price of the diesel but I still think I am quids in. INstead of getting sub 400 miles to the tank I am now getting in excess of 450. I'm doing a longer term test though each time I fill up.

Happy days!

I've been using normal Shell diesel in mine, not Vpower as it isn't available in this area, and the normal shell is the same price as the supermarket stuff around here too. Supermarkets are now only for emergency fill-up's.

Tim, your fuel will be Dutch at the moment anyway, won't it? Laughing
