The crazy things are:
1)The strike is only affecting the Scottish refinery
2)In Scotland there are 60 "normal" days stock held in tanks - this is required by law in the whole of the UK
3)Folks are being asked to behalf normally regarding filling up and yet I have just come home from Striling
and 4 out 5 filling stations have no stock at all and the one remaining I passed had a queue out onto the road andis charging £1.30 a litre for diesel
4) Tony Woodley needs to be locked up because it isn't the fuel for cars that is going to run short, it is the Natural Gas from the Forties field that will cause the problems for England and Wales and nobody will have gas for cooking or heating............................

Panic everybody, panic and then we will not have enough delivery tankers to deliver the stuff

Mad, I saw somebody on Wednesday day when I filled up, filling up 4 x 25ltre Jerry cans of diesel "just in case" there is a shortage..................................

Just think if Scotland became totally independant, what we are going through here now would only happen to England (or so claim the Scot Nats!) as it is all Scotland's Oil 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it

I heard on the radio this morning that the Bangladesh Government is trying to persuade the populace that they should be eating potatoes instead of rice........................ Today programme interviewed the head chef at one of the top hotels in Dacca and he was giving lessons in how to make Potato Ice Cream, Potato as a vegetable in 23 different forms....................... seems that the plain old spud is a lot more versatile than a few grains of rice! I think I'll have a lot of problems getting my Filipino crew to swap their diet of 4 bowls of rice a day for 4 plates of spuds in various forms.......................................

Start investing in Spuds guys, they will be the next thing that there will be a shortage of after fuel and Rice. 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it

Yes, yes its all Scottish oil all right but (my father was from Aberdeen) it took the English to find the oil for them and tell them how to get it out of the ground!

If you think this is bad, just wait for the "planned global population reduction" strategy! Bird flu it is not but I'm sure we will be told it came from Vietnam or somewhere similar. If you don't believe me just ask yourself why the government has ordered .....

1. 34 million doses of vaccine (not enough to go round btw)
2. 340 face masks (like you get in B&Q with a sander)
3. 35 million respirators (for "key workers only" you understand)

Sorry to spoil your evening!

If you hate the price of diesel, then do something about it! No-one else will if you don't! It's finally gone! Replaced with BMW 730SE in Sophisto grey Xirallic finish with Oyster (Ivory) and black interior. DAB, Climate glass, Ceramic iDrive and gear selector, power boot and iPhone Bluetooth pack - luvvin' it!

I miss my old RRS "bucket" rattling around but it just had to go!

just for the record the first Hydrocarbons in the North Sea were found by the Dutch and the first British Oil was brought ashore by Hamilton Bros (a US company) in 1975..... then BP got it together ....

Oil and Gas pays my bills and pays for the RRS for the last 18yrs Whistle Brit across the Pond Wink
