Another great day out. Good to meet you all again.. Jay, Misery.. always a pleasure.
Will/Rupert, good to meet you both..

Hope you had a safe trip back Rupert.
Shame the honda show wasn't all that.

Kaine, your old Sport made an appearance, and was driven like a true loon back up the M25 on the return trip. See you ran it in very well!

It was a bit pants, wasn't it... serves Honda right for making no exciting cars, except the S2000. Seem to remember the VXR show from a couple of years ago was much more entertaining.

Glad you had a good time Thumbs Up

Well I’m back home & rested after my 23 hour round trip to the Motor Show.

Firstly thanks to Jay, Kam, Simon & all the rest of the guys, for your welcome & hospitality. It was great to meet you & put some faces to the names & will make for an altogether better meet in August as I’ll know a few of you Thumbs Up

Unfortunately my time with ye was short lived, as I wandered off, somewhere around the Nissan stand to go look at something & when I went back, ye had moved on. I more than likely then went in the completely wrong direction to look for ye & as result we never met up again during the day, despite my keeping an eye for ye all the time Sad

But I guess that in a big crowded event like that it’s possible we passed within feet of each other without even knowing.

When I got home & told “Mrs Rupert” that I had lost contact with ye all & ended up on my own for the day, she said……….

“That’s typical, sure you’re always doing that !!”

Apparently in shops, theme parks or some such place, she always has to go look for me when she comes back from popping to the loo, or trying on clothes, despite telling me to stay where I am !

So guys, I apologise for loosing contact with you all & hope you didn’t think it rude of me to do so. It certainly wasn’t my intention & kept an eye out for the rest of day, but failed to see any sign of you again.

Not sure when you guys left, but I stayed at the show until I got a taxi back to the airport around 5:30ish.

I did enjoy the show, but was quite surprised at how small it was compared to the Earls Court or NEC shows I used visit years ago. Not so sure about the LRX though Confused

(& yes the Honda Show was pants Laughing )

Anyway, that’s all for now, thanks again for your welcome & once again sincere apologies for wandering off.

Roll on the 15th August Thumbs Up

Rupert.. can't believe we lost you! We came back and looked round LR and Nissan as the last time i saw you was next to the GTR. We waited for a short while for the GTR and i think it was around this time that we lost 'contact'.. shame Jay didn't have your number.. will have to ensure we have each other's numbers next time. No need to apologise, it was just one of those things..

VXR show in 06 was 10x better then the Honda show, the actual show hosts were annoying this time! as was the music and the cars weren't exactly all that.. why they didn't perform the NSX i don't understand..

The show was rather small, and hardly anything new on display, the LRX, the GTR.. the focus RS.. that was about it i think.. Jag XF i had a good sit in and was impressed by its interior quality, test drive in order i think, do think that would be a nice car to replace my father's A8..
