The turnout at the last event was, er, less than what it should be.

Much like many RRS owners, we had never been off-road until we went to the last private day at Tong in September. Absolutely no damage, all the muck jetwashed straight off and back to new and we all enjoyed an absolutely terrific day of off-road driving in a brilliant environment with several other Land Rover owners from the forum. We went for the training package (which is still available this time, numbers limited) and were taught all the skills and how to use the D3 properly in different environments. Very good tuition, better than LRE I'd say.

Magazine write-up of last year's event available here.

Great event, highly recommend it. Don't let the side down Thumbs Up "CY from DISCO3"

To be honest a lot of folk are not insured for off-road. However you would have to do something really drastic for this to be an issue. If you picked up a scrape or dent which is very unlikely you could easily say it was done on-road (although of course I can't condone this Whistle ) The site have PLI so really not a lot to worry about. Andy

WiseView we did it without any off-road insurance and I'm pretty sure most of the 30 odd people who came last time didn't either. If you stick to the advised routes you'd be hard pushed to damage your car. "CY from DISCO3"

cool, i was more worried about whether they would let me in without off road insurance than actually damaging the car.

Im off to egypt on the 11th so tempted to pop down (or up even Laughing ). Could someone send me some cost info for the training?

Quick question:

Off roading, good or bad idea to have the car full of people?
