Toe-rag!!

Had a bit of spare time today as I was waiting for somebody, so went for a poodle round the local Audi / VW garage.......Audi staff had all gone AWOL, so wandered across to their less prestigious other half at VW.

Staff were very courteous and after a brief discussion, offered me a drive in the V10 TDi Toureag. What a fantastic diesel, very smooth and quiet, I was certainly shocked Shocked . Interior was good quality, but nothing special as was the looks, adequate rather than stunning and TBH it just looked like a jacked up Golf, albeit one that looked (side on) like the Cayenne, naturally!!

The real issue for me was the absolutely horrific and shocking price of the thing....£58k!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The worse thing is, you can add extras!!!!!! This ultimately, as I found out, made the car £64k with all the extras you would want incl a tow bar!!! Whistle

That is FFRR territory which is a far superior car in all departments by my reckoning.....£58k....no wonder you do not see many V10 TDi's on the road......someone at VW is surely taking the Censored ....I would pay (if I wanted one that is) £38-40k, which seems more in line with the competition, after all, it is competing against the Disco 3 rather than the "Daddy".....unbelievable. Confused

This is WW signing off, somewhere in Berkshire for the rrsport news channel....good day. Very Happy L322 Big Daddy SUPERCHARGED 5.0 Autobiography - Here & Now!

The Touareg is a great motor imho - the V10 diesel is an amazing engine and arguably better than the RRS diesel engines. Personally I like the look and also the interior however I am biased. Also, major discounts are available on all Touaregs; 10-15% is quite easily achievable

England 2007 Range Rover Sport TDV6 HSE Java Black

I had a 2.5 Tdi Touareg for about 12 months.

Bloody wide but nothing ever went wrong with it.

Sold it to some footballer chappie, who ignored all the warning beeps and promptly reversed it into a huge metal bollard!

Rolling with laughter

I am currently on my second V10 after owning a Q7,

Taste and choice is everybodys own.

What I will say is that for me to buy a second one then they must be doing something right and the engine has to tried to be believed.

RRS - NIce car sadly has many problems as do all manufacturers.

FFRR Still looks like a london TAXI and is totally out dated style wise. imo.

Q7 tyre wear is absolutely horrendous I know of some people who have had to replace full sets at less than 3000 miles, mine lasted till 12000 miles but were truly shot at by then.

@ will_wonka, the new T2 is by far and away a better car in design and interior spec than the erstwhile RR but as siad it is totally down to personal prefernce as for off raod ability the treg has not yet been out done by any of the other cars in our yard which include as listed D3, RRS, FFRR and boy have we tried.

I am sat in my office looking out at my black V10 that is parked next to a sport and a FFRR and I know which one I will be happy going home in tonight.

PS, Helle all, I drop by everyday to keep up with things this site is immense in the people who post and the content it has. grats. Its out there somewhere. Second V10 Treg on the drive at the moment.

We looked at the Touareg before buying the RRS but it was a bit girly all round I felt apart from the width.
Very sloppy steering and plastic looking interior.
Everyone to their own.
Bought a Mans motor in the end.
