Was the crankshaft ring a genuine item or Britpart or similar aftermarket?
We recently had to re-remove an engine to fit a genuine part after a new aftermarket ring was found to be faulty |

Post code has a huge impact, sadly.
Have you tried LV? They were cheapest for me on my L320 by a reasonable margin.
