I had the same problem, but without loss of power.
Tdv8 with white smoke at starting for about 45 seconds.
Engine running like 7 cylinders for tose 45 seconds.

Engine has been rebuilt in an official Land Rover service center. The seller told me that it was necessary because the previous owner used the car anyway once a water sleeve broke ... |
