| I had a similar experience this weekend when my iPhone was replaced, mine seemed to be related to battery level on the phone. When it was down at 35% it was constantly connecting and disconnecting.

I had a similar issue with map updates before, it was an issue with the USB drive {probably corruption} I downloaded the update to the same drive again and it installed ok next time.
