Some are fortunate and the tensioner assembly was replaced under warranty
Others are less lucky and the assembly starts rattling for months before it lets go
Some like me fall into a barrel of nippl ...

So clearly I am an unlucky sod. I have been aware of the potential timing chain issues on the MY10 - MY12 V8's, but having owned my RRS from 60 000km to its current 115 000km with not a single issue I ...

Thanks Col, the TPMS here is the same here, no actual reading just a warning on low pressure . I like that as on a long gravel road it warns you of an issue before you completely destroy the tyre.

Yup was thinking along the same lines, TBH the TPMS on my RRS (2011) is pretty much spot on with no errors.
If I buy new sensors is it a case of re-coding only?

So I have sourced a set of 19" rims for off road use to save damage on my road going 20". My question is can I swap over the TPMS sensors or do I just ignore the warnings on the dash

Sure, even the petrol models, however a snapped crank is a huge expense and practically a write off depending on vehicle age

I would honestly not touch the TDV6, over here in SA there have been numerous instances of snapped cranks, turned bearings etc. all with resultant huge repair bills. The oil pump theory is exactly tha ...

I think the roly poly of the FFRR is exaggerated slightly, it will feel like that compared to a sport which is planted at all speeds. One thing in the FFRR's favour is that it has that waftabillity wh ...

My present car does 48.6 diesel MPG, according to the dash - and over a long period. Can anyone let me know what the S/C and V8 diesels do to the gallon please?

And there is the small matter of al ...

I had a similar issue , the cause was found to be loose battery terminals due to some serious gravel roads, nipped them up and all good.
