My one stays at the 'normal' height when getting out and locking it too.. when you start your engine with the car in as you say access height, does the screen say raising to normal height ?? Mine used to pass wind and lower by its self, but only went down a little, which I was told that it was the self levelling suspension operating correctly.

You can program the 3rd button on the key to raise and/or lower the car, but it will only work if all dors are cloased AND the hazzard flashers are on
I was planning on doing the same, but having to get in, turn on the hazzard flashers and close all dors seems to negate any likely benefit
So I think I'll program it to turn on the lights instead
