Howling brakes

Have just completed a run north from Southampton to Stirling and have had to put up with both the main brakes and the EPB howling after having been stationary on the motorway, everytime without fail when I pulled away deafening howling from the EPB which after a few wheel rotations disappeared but it took a prod of the brakes to stop the main brakes squeaking, which was annoying for those following. Both brakes seem to be binding slightly. Anybody got any cures for this? Otherwise get another 1500 miles round trip with an otherwise faultless RRS! 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it

This was a big issue on early D3's.
There is a TSB for the parking brake, see if applies to your Vin: TSB no: LA206-002 (Rear Brake Noise)

Our RRS did this when it was about six months old and around 12k miles. There is a clip or something like that in the EPB that breaks. Matt

Cheers guys, mine is now 17500 miles and nearly 2 years old. It has already had one mod done to the EPB, so maybe the fault has reappeared..................... 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it
