From the pics I've seen of the non-factory tints, none are as good as the factory option (obviously) and a job that isn't 100% really stands out in a bad way.

With non factory fit the 'wires' are visible. If you can get factory fit I would get them - they're much much better. 2005 Zambezi TDV6 - Gone but not forgotten

So… to have factory fit, would mean to change the entire glass? Or do they have any other process?

It would probably be cheaper to order a new motor than change all of the glass. Arctic Frost TDV6 SE. Aspen Leather, Cherry Wood, Privacy Glass, PTI, Tow Pack, Mudflaps, Tasmods, a new Fuelflap, a RRSport.co.uk umbrella in the boot & a RRSport.co.uk sticker on the rear glass.

Indeed. But, yes... the factory fit option is tinted glass - not a film Very Happy Not something you'd do retrospectively I don't think...

There is another option that isn't entirely legal. Get your dealer to fit a factory tint rear window, get the receipt and then claim on insurance for a chipped window. Buy 2 rear quarter light windows and get them fitted but get the film tints on the remaining windows.

I wouldn't recommend this as it is fraud. 2005 Zambezi TDV6 - Gone but not forgotten

Very Annoyed... Laughing Can't say it didn't occur to me already... Smile

Of course it is not recommendable.

But ok... it's either films or replace windows.

Thank you guys, you've been terrific! Smile
