The suggestion of a North East pub meet has (foolishly) prompted to get me to try to arrange a Weardale Offroad Meet again. Failed miserably to get any RRS takers about 9 months ago. The posting is in D3 under events (not sure how you do that link thing).

Now I know most of you softey southerners don't know where Weardale is, that it sounds to you as if it is wild, uncivilised, your children may get eaten and your wives (and cattle !) dragged off by border reivers, that there can't possibly be anywhere decent to eat or drink within 100 miles and that the roads are probably all blocked by snow until late May. Well your right ! So get up here soon (but leave your cattle at home).

Would happily arrange a barby (we now are the proud owners of a BBQ Hut - you should check these out at http://www.1stsummerhouses.com/product.php...EAodhRLJFA and can put a few people up near Weardale if you are travelling far and need accommodation ....).
