2006 Range Rover Sport TDV6 HSE Zermatt Silver

Going Rate for Brake Pad replacement

being quoted about $940 for both axles includes them doing something with the discs which is normal apparently. Anyone been stung by a local dealer for this ?? Interested to know what others have paid down under

Sheeeeeeyit! Mind you I did pay a fair bit for the BMW 323i brakes + rotors. How many Km's do you have on yours Jim? RRS TDV6 Bluetooth, VR, Roof

On my first service Zilch i was charged an extra £150 for front pads & new wiper blades including fitting if that helps any They shouldn't need to skim the disc's unless you've went metal to metal with them & badly scored them?

They do a lot of replacing of rotors these days. I know BMW told me that the rotors are softer to give better braking characteristics so they wear with the pads. Maybe just BMW, but sounds credible. Check how badly the rotors are worn Jim. RRS TDV6 Bluetooth, VR, Roof

thats what they must be doing, they stated about 3 month/3000 k's left on the pads, so not at the level to panic.

I am going to find out if one of the British/Swedish specialists can do it, with of course the correct parts so as not to invalidate warranty. Thing as only done 18000K's or 11K Miles for my countrymen ..

been away to ole blighty, and let the wife drop the car in to have the brake pads checked and changed by the stealer..whilst i was away. quite pleasantly surprised that they charged 250 dollars per axle, 500 of her majesties Australian dollar to replace front and rear pads, not the original 940 quoted yet another Pommie living in Sydney
